Starving For Change
Voices From the Roof of the World
Aga Khan Agency for Habitat, 2023
3 Out of 5 children in Pakistan are malnourished, and in some regions, almost half the children have stunted growth. They will be less likely to survive serious illness and will face elevated physical and mental challenges for the rest of their lives.
Starving for Change looks at Pakistan’s food security challenges through the lens of climate change, particularly in the wake of the floods of 2022, now regarded as one of the costliest natural disasters in world history.
The film explores why Pakistan’s agrarian economy is vulnerable to climate change while discovering ways to make it more resilient, and even among the most prosperous crop producers in the world.
